It all began in 1897, when the Brazilian Alberto Santos Dumont (born 1873)—a world-renowned aviation pioneer, nobleman, and style icon—was already making history. He was the heir to a wealthy plantation dynasty. Rum and cachaça were distilled from the sugarcane of the family estate. Today, Santos Dumont is made from fresh Brazilian sugarcane juice, blended with molasses-based rum from the West Indies and Central America. Santos Dumont chose, like few others, to combine these two types of rum in a way that can only be called Santos Dumont. Inspired by his achievements, we have pushed the boundaries of craft excellence in every creation of Santos Dumont, capturing the spirit of Santos Dumont in every bottle and every drop.

XO Palmira – a tribute to Albert Santos Dumont (1873–1932).
This rum-based Palmira is crafted from the finest sugarcane juice and could proudly be called a “Rhum Traditionnel”, though we believe it might just deserve its own category. The noble spirit is aged in former sweet wine barrels, giving it its elegant tannins and refined character.
Nose: Fresh apricot, toasted marshmallows, and sweet tobacco, with hints of honey and ripe fruits.
Palate: Ripe, sweet oak, soft and velvety, with a complex texture. Tropical fruits and sultanas are complemented by subtle noble rot notes from the sweet wine barrel aging.
Finish: Long, smooth, and creamy.

The Santos Dumont XO Gewürztraminer is a captivating liqueur with a full-bodied sweetness. This carefully matured blend is aged in old, hand-selected barrels previously used for the refinement of the spicy and graceful white wine grape. Produced in small batches, each bottle is individually numbered, emphasizing its exclusivity.
Nose: Tropical fruits, gummy candy, milk chocolate, with a subtle hint of lovage.
Palate: Warm waves of orange and apricot, complemented by coconut and gentle spice notes.
Finish: Wonderfully sweet and lingering, with warm, spicy undertones, tropical fruits, and a rich, wine-like complexity.
